Everyone of us hears this from our listeners:

I’ve been all over the country and I’ve heard public radio stations everywhere. But I’m so glad to return home because you’re the best of all of them.

A genuine, heartfelt expression, to be sure.

But what happens to us when we actually begin to believe it?
